a step ahead

up early and kept a step ahead. nice to relax on the bus rather than sweat and steam. nicest of all was the clear skies which meant i couild watch the sunrise begin to colour the sky from the platform at the Mülheim Hbf.
somehow today i was completely enthralled watching the trains come and go. the whole commute game is actually quite fun. a little reading. a little writing. lots of people watching and then the race from bus to bahn and bahn to bus. fun.
mirka thought i was late and for a few seconds i was scared i was - but i wasnt. i was early.
marcus was tougher today but also easier as he is talking more and more.
then i UBahned it up to Berliner Platz with simon. it was nice to talk with him out outside of a classroom and outside of the office.
class with the Azubis was just watching them write. i dont like being the officer so much but it was an easy four hours work...
and home early. fixed the digby fire department's website from 6000 km away and then i fixed heike's computer. fun to be ahead.

wriiiite

took the time to write write write on the drive to work. a go go go day is always fun. easy little drive up the A52. picked up the car at Rosa 8. returned it to Rosa 20. good and close.
talked to jony. made me so happy to hear his voice. sounds like he is doing well. really.

fun versetzung

surprisingly healed up from the weekend. early to first class and great chat, great work. next couple classes with a new crash course. yeehaw.
then a long sleepy wait which i used to get organized and my head on straight.
a fun vertretung. nice to know people like your teaching... it isnt always so clear...
the slow slow slow night commute.

first second advent

i made it home. i slept. i walked the dog. i slept. i picked heike up. alex offered me a warm yummy coffee. the days first nutrition.
we looked at a house. a nice house. gave me hope we will find a nice place. eventually. i slept. we ate a nice slow second advent supper together. good night.

guitar

bus trip to the end of nowhere. a dirty little german building witht eh oh so typical closed doors. my turn came. i got my guitar.

spent the evening at an english speaking corner (a stammtisch for speaking english). fun and paid for it.

journey

up so early so dark. sometimes i feel like a dwarf here, struggling to and from work in the dark. even at its brightest, this world here of concrete and tunnels and labrytine offices is a dull grey. a sombre unbright world.

took a firmawagen to kempen - memorized the route despite never having driven any of those roads before and made it happen. two false turns and clawed my way back to yeloow brick road. two stops at gas stations where the ladies behind the counters confirmed both times i was on the right path.

found it. taught in the basement of some windowless complex. found my way back to essen.

just enough time before class to find Old School. required a great deal of muggle patience. success.

day off

1/2 sunny.cool, almost cold. organized and unpacked and had the chance to breathe in and out a little. days off are for breatheing. ahhhhh
