The Dump

living in the valley the day of a major dump.

waking up to 10". so much dry fun snow and it just kept snowing and snowing. laughing and skiing with slim jim all day. such a good fella for laughing all the time. such exhilerating snow.
having learned to loosen my ankles made it possible for me to ski and really enjoy day. fell four times at least.
fresh tracks every run. such easy sweet rocket turns. spray of snow. lapfuls of snow.

strong enough to ski it and ski it and ski it. grateful to feel such passion and exhilertion, hunger. the smiling laughing faces of others.

exhaustion.

snowshoe hike to allways crossing a river. leftovers and frozen pizza. hike into the mtns above allways place. a warm spot to sleep
